Hi,

Just came across your website. Congrats on putting it together, I think it's long overdue. I've recently moved from the Southern Maryland area, and I think your site will keep me in touch with what's going on when I come back to visit.

I'd like to request that you consider putting up two Southern Maryland artist websites that I have put together - Vince Maloy and Link Wray.

Vince Maloy "cut the path" for each and every artist on your website. He was Southern Maryland's first rock and roller, releasing his first 45 in 1957, a year before Link Wray released Rumble.

Vince has passed away, but I think that current local musicians might like to know more about Vince and where Southern Maryland rock and roll started. I've got some really cool pics that I think you'll like. The web URL is http://www.westgoenterprises.com/vincemaloy/

I was going to ask that you consider a link to the other website I do....but I just checked and found it already listed, WraysShack3Tracks.com - about Link, Doug and Vernon Wray. Thanks very much for that link!

I'll be updating these sites shortly and will include your site link in return.

Thanks much!

Greg Laxton

Well, I was directed to the smmo website by a friend that told me I could find some local musicians for my band there, well, I had never heard of the site before that, and after an hour or so looking at different pages, it came to my attention that smmo.net is the "yellow pages of the southern maryland music scene". I have never before seen so much information related to one local music scene than what smmo.net offers. Basically, if you don't find it here, then you're not going to find it anywhere else. Bob

I think the look is very creative. I live in Southern Md as well and had the same general idea. I have built mine. It looks similar to yours other than the fact that yours has many more features. I have been promoting sevral local artists and I see that you have links to Madd Mother Moose and The WhitePlains Drifters, very cool. Madd Mother Moose jus tperformed at a charity event that I organized at The Hotel Charles. I have left my email and a url if anyone has some tips for my site or if you just wanna see who I am currently promoting........Thanx, Gary

I am so impressed by your website!! This is awesome. I wanted to create something like this for a while now, because I did not know that SMMO existed. Maybe you all could hand out business cards or something on
Friday nights at My Brothers Place. There are a lot of younger bands there that would love this website.
I'm taking a college class right now, and we had to write a paper about a project that we wanted to do. My project was to create a website for Southern Maryland Teen Musicians. You guys have done a better job than I ever imagined could be done (and included all age groups). Your website is
exciting, organized, user friendly and has great information. I'm still surfing your website because there is so much great information!
