Big Al's List December, 2007

Hi Group,

Another great Thanksgiving under our belts, or in some cases, hanging over them!!!! As usual, the family got together and we ate well and expressed our “Thanks” for all the good things we have. This has been a rough year and we have lost some good friends, Some Cruisers that we have turned a wrench with and some family that we have shared bread with. Where I’m going is, be good to your friends and value them. I want to “Thank” all of you Cruisers for being the great people that you are!

With Christmas right around the corner, it is time to get serious about what you want to do with your ride for the coming year. Drop a few hints to your loved ones about those parts that you want, I mean NEED so they can get them on order! Speaking about planning, if your interior is on your project list, give Howards a call at 440-350-9664 and get a time slot for those custom seats and panels! His new location has given him more room to get your cars in, but get a time slot well in advance as the winter work is starting to pile in! He is now a mile East of where he was on the same side of the street at 1636 West Jackson St. If you’re looking for a gift for the Sweetie, you may want to check out the Pictures on the Gaertner Designs link! Cindy has a 25% off sale running until Christmas. Order soon to get your delivery on time!

A really great show to attend is the Canton Hot Rod Show coming up on January 25th. to the 27th. There will be over $ 9,000.00 in Awards, Door Prizes and CASH Awards! Special entertainment this year include James Best “Rosco P Coltrain” from the Dukes of Hazard, Two bands, Rudy & the Illusions and 45 RPM will be playing and more! Summit Racing has special advance tickets for adults for only $ 8 dollars. This is a “Must See” event! Call Rodd or Amy at 330-628-2432 NOW!!

The Cleveland Auto-Rama at its new location in the I-X Center on March 14th. to the 16th. is going to have a Special Tribute to the 1958 Chevrolet. If you have one that is special or different or “One of a Kind” call Ron Heitman and get it entered before the spaces are all filled! Also, there will be another display for “Rat Rods”. Ron Heitman has a special deal for the Rat Rodders that only want to display their Rats, but not be judged! If you are an ISCA member and want your Rat to be Judged, there is a $15.00 entry fee, but if you only want to display it, Ron will let you bring it in for FREE and give you a plaque just for being there! Please sign up early with Ron Heitman at 216-382-1616 as the show looks like it is really taking off. Lew Winters of Tennessee will bring his famous “Tribute to the Vet” Trike, his event winning 55 Street Machine as well as his 37 Ford Custom Hot Rod! When talk about different is going on, it may just be Steve Heller of New York and his 2004 Merc Marquis that morphed into a 1959 DeSoto! Stat tuned for many more “Specials”

Pictures, Did you say you want to see some pictures? I have over 35,000 pictures of your Hot Rods, Cruisers, Race Cars from every Cruise In from Annabelles to the Woodward Dream Cruise. If you had your car out this year or last year there is a good chance your ride is in Big Als Picture Gallery! We even have pictures from Shows that were cancelled but the Cars showed up anyhow! Thanks to many of you we have pictures to enjoy from those warm summer days.

As you can see from the list, there are more and more events going on in 2008! Be sure to send in your Car Show, Swap Meet and Cruise In information as soon as you have it locked in to get the word out early! And don’t forget to take a chance on the Question of the Month on the American Graffiti link on www.BigAlsList.com where you can not only win a signed picture of Paul LeMat or Cindy Williams, but a FREE Big Al T-Shirt and a pair of “Look but Don’t Touch” magnets for your ride!

A Belated “Happy Thanksgiving”, and a very “Merry Christmas” to you all, and a very Special
“Thank You and God Bless You” to all the Men and Women who are and have served our country to keep us safe in this wonderful Country!
