I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONE MURDER BUT I WANTED TO WRITE TO LET YOU KNOW YOU ARE NOT ALONE.MY MOTHER WAS MURDERED IN 1985 AND STRIPPED OF ALL HER CLOTHES EXCEPT HER BRA AGAIN ONLY ONE FAMILY MEMBER WAS A SUSPECT, IN MY CASE HER SON WHICH I THINK IS A HATE MURDER. In December 1993, LeRoy Carroll O'Neil, my father-in-law, was murdered in the most hedious manner and by the most evil of evil. If anyone who reads this site and has any information, please contact me or the Greenville, SC police department.




LeRoy was a 59 year old father of three, grandfather to twelve. During the summer of 1993, he started becoming very ill all the time with bouts of vomiting and diahrrea. He was diognosed with gall bladder trouble and it was removed that summer. He was recovering wonderfully in the hospital.




But, soon, after being released from the hospital and returning to his home, he began to get sick again, and it was getting worse. On a day he was to go back to the doctor for a check up and also the fact he was beginning to regress, my husband had to take him to the hospital insead, where he never left to see any of our family again.




After five days of no diognosis, a heavy metals screening was performed, a simple blood test. It revealed that LeRoy had 3800 units of arsenic in his body. He live for 90 days in agony and pain, never knowing what was going on, as he slipped into a coma. It was determined after his death, that someone had been feeding him arsenice slowly and over a long period of time. Cronic arsenic poisioning.




To this day, no arrest has been made. All family members were interviewed by the police, myself and my husband included. All except one. And, you can almost bet who that was. Yes, his own wife would not speak to the police. She recieved $180,000.00 in insurance money and has not been heard from again. She still lives nearby, we know that, but the police cannot or will not bring her in to question. We all wanted to take polygraphs, but they never scheduled them, just to rule ourselves out. But, she was the only one who refused.




When I call to inquire about the case, I get the run-around. I was transferred to seven or more people just yesterday, who said the next one would help me. The last one I call was only a voice box to talk to.




Four years ago, we went in to see the sherrif, who was rude and mean to us like we should not be concerned. LeRoy was no one special in the community, or famous. He was just a good man who worked at Sam's Club, and our father.




The sub-human who caused his untimely and hideous death, walks around and has spent the blood money. She does not call the police to see who murdered her husband nor even inquires.




All I have ever heard from the authorities on the TV and news articles or books I have read, is that no crime is unsolvable. Then, why is LeRoy's not even being looked into? I've heard that it is a question of funding, and that is just not right. If LeRoy had been a police officer, I can bet that more would have been done at the time of his death. They would have found the money to investigate. I thought the job of police was to find answers, but they told us to "Hire" our own investigator. This is wrong!




Does anyone have any ideas or information to help us? We are never going to stop trying on our part to get justice for LeRoy. That is one reason I got this computer, so I can reach out to the world's fine people like you on this site who do care becasue probably you have had something bad happen to you as well, and that is why you are here in the first place.
