How is Blockchain in SCM changing transparency and trust across global supply chains?
I’ve been researching how Blockchain in SCM is being adopted across logistics, manufacturing, and retail. Traditional supply chain systems often struggle with issues like data silos, lack of transparency, and delayed verification between multiple stakeholders.
From what I understand, blockchain introduces a shared ledger where every transaction or product movement can be recorded and verified in real time. This could help companies track goods from raw material sourcing all the way to final delivery while reducing fraud and manual reconciliation.
Some industries are already experimenting with blockchain to track food safety, pharmaceutical authenticity, and cross-border shipments. What I’m curious about is how practical blockchain in SCM actually is at scale.
Has anyone here worked with or implemented blockchain in supply chain management? What real improvements have you seen in transparency, traceability, or operational efficiency?
