How To Use To This Service

1. This is a free nationwide service of the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

2. Musicians should post just as soon as they discover a stolen or missing musical instrument. Speed is important!

3. Posting Tips:

- Put identifying DETAILS in HEADLINE ("Stolen 1988 Gibson F-type mandolin SN 123456," NOT "Stolen mandolin").

- Put as much detail as you know in body of post - place, time, date, other identifying marks, etc.

- Put your contact information in the body of the post.

- Add updates to your post if you later obtain more information.

- You can link your post to a website with more information, such as a photograph.

- Please post and let us know when your instrument is recovered.

4. There is no time limit -- You can post instruments that have been missing for decades if you wish.

5. In answer to many inquiries, the service is not limited to bluegrass instruments.

6. Used musical instrument purchasers: Check this service before buying any instrument.

7. Please note that a person attempting to sell a used instrument may or not may not be the thief, and that law enforcement authorities should be contacted to investigate the matter.

Good Luck!
