Hello. I am looking for any service records for my wife\'s grandfather, Thomas (Tom) Alker, who served with the 10th Royal Hussars before the First World War. Is there any way to search through past regimental records?

Thank you.

I will also note that the muster roll for 1948 on the homepage features my grandfather, under the name a swift. I noticed this last year, but if that helps anyone to finding out more about him, that is him listed as bandmaster. Thank you again.

Hi again, I apologise to anyone who has read this already- I am desperately trying to find out more information about my grandfather. His name was Herbert Henry Swift (Birth name), HH Swift, A Swift, or Anthony Swift (name used most often). He was bandmaster of the 10th Royal Hussars up until the year 1948. I haven't a clue what happened to him after he retired. The last known information I have is that he traveled to Canada, with his last residence listed as "War Office." My father, his son, is now in his 80's, and it would bring him and unmentionable amount of closure to know what happened to him. Please pass this message on. Thank you and God bless.

Hello,

I came across this site while searching for my grandfather. I am hoping someone out there can help me find out more about him. His name was Herbert Henry (HH) Swift, or A. Swift (Anthony). He was warrant officer and bandmaster for the 10th Royal Hussars. I have military documents that show him active until at least 1948, and as early as 1924. That is all I know about him unfortunately. Is there any relevant archive or information that any of you know of? Thank you so much.

Regards,
Erin
