The eleventh annual “Taste of Painesville” is scheduled to take place on September 2 from 5:00 to 10:00 pm., on Main Street, Downtown. Don’t miss this event featuring food, beverages, & music. BIGGEST BLOCK PARTY OF THE YEAR

The oldest block in Lake County is throwing the biggest block party of the year. The City of Painesville is shutting down historic Main Street on Thursday, September 2 and hosting an end-of-summer bash called Taste of Painesville. Featuring local food, beer, wine and a big free concert in the middle of the street, the party kicks off at 5pm and is open to everyone.

Taste of Painesville is an awesome after work outing. Bring the whole office down, says Cathy Bieterman, Economic Development Director for the City of Painesville . You can bring the family down too. Each year nearly a dozen local restaurants participate. This years specialty dishes include stuffed mushrooms, spinach squares, quesadillas, kettle korn, potica nut rolls, kolotchys and more. Of course therel be traditional staples like ribs, burgers, pizza and tacos.

The Painesville Community Improvement Corporation, organizers of the annual Party in the Park, will be on site selling beer. Your Vine or Mine, the new micro-winery in Downtown Painesville, will be opening its doors for wine aficionados. Food, beer, music and local wine are a recipe for a good time, says DougNagy, Direcotr of the Downtown Painesville Organizaton. This will be a night to remember.

The Taste of Painesville will also feature a corn hole tournament with cash prizes, $200 first prize, $100 second prize. Pre-entry is required. For more information on Taste of Painesville and applications for the corn hole tournament, visit www.painesville.com or www.downtownpainesville.org.
