Once again this year, the Stanley Spencer Gallery is offering its popular Winter Wednesday Walks and Talks. These will take place on Wednesday 6th December, Wednesday 17th January and Wednesday 14th February, meeting at the Stanley Spencer Gallery at 10.30am.
A knowledgeable guide will point out where Spencer lived and some of the views that he painted in the village which so inspired him. You will also enjoy a guided tour of the exhibition 'Everywhere is Heaven', which also shows the work of contemporary artist Roger Wagner. Roger was inspired by Spencer's religious works and the two artists used known locations for heavenly visitations.
The walk takes 45 minutes and is on flat ground. One small section is not suitable for wheelchairs, and sturdy shoes are recommended. The Gallery talk is 45 minutes, and you will have opportunity to view at your leisure. There is a small shop with exclusive postcards, prints and books. Entrance to the gallery is included in the ticket.
