Information on James McAuliffe, father of Daniel McAuliffe

Hi!
I am looking for information regarding my great,great, great grandfather, James McAuliffe.

The information I have comes from his son, Daniel McAuliffe.

Daniel was born around 1833 give or take 1 year in Cork, Ireland and emmigrated to Queensland, Australia around 1847.

He died in September, 1913 in Ipswich, Queensland.

His death certificate provided the following information about his father:-

Father's name: James
Born: Cork, Ireland

If anyone could shed any light on this, that would be terrific as to date the usual lines of information through Ancestry etc. have been unsuccessful once the relative leaves Ireland.
