Hi everyone.

I have found an injured corella on the road in a town nearby. I placed my leather jacket over the bird, picked him / her up and brought it home. didn't give much of a struggle at all so I assumed that it must have been a domesticated pet. After placing the corella in a secure parrot enclosure and treating his wound with Betadine he regained his former "glories". He is an extremely quiet bird. I have had him now for about 1wk and 1/2. I called a few people who had advertused they had lost a bird. All to no avail. My question is if he was a wild bird why is'nt he noisy? And would he recognise seed as a food source? I have been trying to reasure him that I don't want to hurt him, but he just doesn't want to be touched. I don't know if I should keep him and keep attemping to make him feel safe around me or set him free in the same place I got him from. But what if he can't survive out there? What do you guys think? I really don't know what to do with him??????
