If anyone has any suggestions how I can obtain at least one of the patches (red, white & blue), I would be very grateful.

I have a friend in SC who has a military surplus and was also in the 538th for many years. He says he has some but they are in a 40 foot container right now. Said he would dig in there and try to find a couple. I have one in color and 1 subdude. If I run across one I'll keep you in mind.

I ordered some of both while I was on active duty.


they cost me 2.50 each at the time, but when they said we could wear them as combat patches a year before I retired I ordered a few. please e-mail me an address or check with your nears clothing sales store, they can order them..

Did you ever find a color patch?? if not go online and do a search for [US military insignia] if you don't find any let know and I see that you get one..
