Can anybody help me with the unit history of the 38th combat engineer battalion. I am attempting to gather info on both the 38th & 1278th and their time spent in the UK prior to departing for Europe and subsequent roles once arriving in France. Info particularly relating to their stay in Gloucestershire would be of great interest.
