While I served on dmz with 538th engr. co. (subordinate to I Corps and attached to 7th infantry div.) during above period, I witnessed an incident involving an explosion of a u.s. army artillery ammo resupply truck resulting in death of one u.s. soldier, who I assumed was in that artillary unit (also connected with 7th inf. div.). For V.A. claim I'm trying to identify that artillery unit, locate someone who may have been there or may know of that incident, or locate incident report or newspaper report on the event. Any information, suggestions, or help you may be able to provide would be sinerely appreciated.
