i left with about 5 to go and it was 2-1 to palmy (both quality goals) my opinion was palmy definitely dominated the game. the no.9 for roar was impressive im goin to assume that was Marcino who was mentioned in the paper. When rado went to talk him they only gestured through hand signals. Defintely wouldnt look out of place in a-league, very skillfull brazillian who can actually dribble unlike our other one.
For the triallists i thought matty christensen did quite well, pin point long balls, quick on the ball.
mitch nicholls didnt really do much at all despite the hype around him at the moment.
agree with every thing u just said.. and i think it was number 25 at the back, skinny blonde guy for the brisbane team, he was class, very composed and ran the show!
yeah No. 25 was cavanough. solid performace as usual, rarely looses the ball. All in all i thought it was a great game however, i think its pretty fair to say that palmy dominated.
Point taken but sometimes that is the price you pay to play in this country's most elite football competition and get exposure.
Depending on performances, a football career could take him anywhere. Pay then looks after itself.
It was a good game to watch. PB looked the more fluent side and deserved the win. PB look like the team to beat in the premier league this season. I was disapointed that more Strikers players were not involved, Rochedale seemed to have the bulk - Webber, Day, Panich, Johnson may have strengthened the Premier League team. I agree with Trevor that maybe the incentive to play and impress is not there for some of the premier leagues best players. Some of the players who did play were impressive,ie the young right winger and obviously the brazilian. For PB mitch showed some glimpses but didnt perform at the level he has in recent weeks.
that new keeper who just returned from england.. he was actually the keeper in goals when both were conceded.. zullo didnt play.. christianson and brad mcdonald were the brisbane city rep's..
The pick of the night would have to be the young player who played left mid and then left back in the second half. I think he was wearing Mori's shirt. Does anybody know his name and what club he plays for?
according to the courier mail marcincho was a class above them but dave dodd also stood out, that was all they mentioned. wouldnt hold much hope for the rest of them
kieren gonzalez was poor at best last night. Not sure how he ended up trialing in england and then getting a shot at roar but when he was playing under 19's for mitchelton last year he definetly did not stand out in the slightest.
left bac was D gray in second half but he didnt have moris shirt on. I agree the 17 with moris shirt looked very quick and a good talent, anyone know who he was?
