    By Frack-Free Tennessee
I am asking members of the Coalition for a Frack Free Tennessee to do two things regarding the State Building Commission's consideration of UT's plan to frack 8500 acres of public land.

One, write to each member of the Executive Subcommittee and ask them to deny UT's RFP. There are many things you could say and I am including here the letter drafted by SELC to the committee.

The other action you could take is to show up at the meeting, which has been moved forward to 4pm tomorrow, room 30 at Legislative Plaza. There will not likely be a chance to comment, but wear your no-fracking button and be visible. It might make a difference.

Hope to see most of you at choir practice on Saturday at 2 at Friends meeting house and again on the 9th at 10 for the frack meet. Thanks, eric

    Dear :
As a concerned Tennessean I urge you to deny the RFP being requested by the University of Tennessee opening up lands it holds in trust for the people of Tennessee to oil and gas drilling. This controversial practice is a direct threat to our precious water quality and to the health of people who depend on it. The request should be deferred until the U.S. EPA concludes its comprehensive study of fracking due to be published in 2014.
    Thank you for your consideration,
