    Re: TCIA resurrectionists' bill

SB 120 by Sen. Campfield (R-Knoxville)
Sunset Laws - As introduced, creates a "Sunrise"/Resurrection provision for the dead Commission of Indian affairs, June 30, 2012.
    - Amends TCA Title 4, Chapter 29 and Title 4, Chapter 34, Part 1,
reinstates the Tennessee Commission of Indian Affairs and its 7 commissioners who committed several illegal actions in 2010 to get their 6 culture clubs named as state tribes, including fraud and violation of the state's Open Meeting law, so that they have more time to try to do the same thing again.

How pathetic! That has to be an absolute waste of taxpayer funds. NOW would be the time to insure the taxpayers know what he is up to and his desire to waste their money. After all, it's tax season and most folks are not wanting to spend ONE PENNY on pork.

    on a related note:

There's also SB0140 by Bo Watson, which eliminates all reference to the former TNCIA.

That sounds like a step in the right direction.

    Re: on a related note:

This sounds like the better choice of bills!!I am most happy that at least one senator remembers what the confed-commission did last year.

    Re: on a related note:

    Dale,
So what is ACTIA doing these days? Any meetings scheduled or is it inactive?
