    Re: checking in

Here in Lyles, TN (Hickman County) we got about 3-4 inches. All is well. Just wish the kids would go back to school soon. 4 of them at home is getting to be a bit much.

update: The other 13 year old boys in the neighborhood have realized there are two 13 year old boys here so they all came over yeaterday to play ps3 so I'm so ready for them ALL to go back to school.

    Re: checking in

T'm thinking this HAS to be a record--a solid week of snow days (no school) for all of north Georgia. We had a total of seven inches of snow and it hasn't warmed up. Friday will be our first day of temps above freezing for the whole week. Good thing--I've got 3 hours of work for the whole week so far. grrrrr...

all this snow has got to end???

    negotiating snow-covered roads last Monday
this is what most of this area has looked like

Re: all this snow has got to end???

Our neighborhood still looked like that on Tuesday--but, thank goodness, most of it is gone from the roads now. However--there are still scardy-cats out there who brake down to 20mph wherever they see a wet spot. Aargh. I was commenting on the woman driving (and blocking the road) in front of us, when my daughter was saying the driver was afraid of the dry ice--yeah, the road was totally dry where we were at.
