Re: Of the state's 95 sheriffs, the only Hispanic sheriff is in Cocke County!

I was reading the intro and marveled that the website starred c**k fighting -- funny! Then I started thinking about how it was big news last week that Michael Vick wanted to get a dog and saying dog fighting was "part of the culture" where he grew up. I'm guessing the new sheriff won't be using that excuse in regards to going after the chicken fighters. I'm sure he knows he'll be under a microscope and will probably be the best sheriff they've had in over 50 years.

Re: Of the state's 95 sheriffs, the only Hispanic sheriff is in Cocke County!

I thought this was a site devoted to Indian affairs. So why the "Hooraw" for a Hispanic sherriff? I have nothing against Hispanics , my granddaughter is married to one. Just thought Imight learn molre about my Indian heritage on this site.

    LMAO Research "hispanics" and "indians".
one post you don't like among many others that are in keeping with what you (supposedly) DO like ... and that's a 'problem' with learning more about your 'heritage'?! wow ....

Re: Of the state's 95 sheriffs, the only Hispanic sheriff is in Cocke County!

What has Hispanics got to do with Indian heritage? Your an opinionated fool, if someone doesnt agree 100% with you yiu diss them. Dont want any more to do with this site smartelic

Re: Of the state's 95 sheriffs, the only Hispanic sheriff is in Cocke County!

Your reply was a little heated. Perhaps you should relax and, as suggested, do a little research. Most Hispanics are Indians. Did you know that there is a theory that the Cherokee originated in Central or South America, migrated to the Great Lakes area, where there was a difference of opinion, the Iroquois Confederacy staying there and the Cherokee migrating south? How's that for learning about 'your heritage?' Don't take things so personally and you'll be a lot happier. If you wish to learn, why don't you start a thread which either throws out your theories or asks questions you would like an answer to. If not, that's okay too.
