Did it mean nothing to the TNNAC when on the History Channel's program "Who Really Discovered America", "chief" Joe White's 100 tribe members submitted DNA and all came back as of Northern European decent? ( NOT NATIVE , NOT HEBREW)It was right there on TV, plain to see... Those people are not Native Americans, period.. Science proved it, no question!!
The "respectable" organization called the TNNAC still wants to push for recognition for them???
Also, the surfacing of the meeting minutes from the Remnant Yuchi (we all saw that), showing that the group is basing their claim on a pretense, "if you are Cherokee then you are Yuchi anyway" Give me a break!!! Can anyone really support that??? Really? What are they gonna do when the rest of the documents are made public? Ignore them because the truth will hurt their agenda?
Are the TNNAC members living in a closet somewhere????? Why is this fraud obvious to everyone except the TNNAC???
It is hard to believe that IF there are any REAL Native Americans involved with the TNNAC, that they would not have the guts to stand up for their own culture against this fraud. What about it, is there an enrolled Monacan who is man enough to face the truth and stand up for what is right?
Is Tom the only person involved that can understand the truth??? And you want to punish him for it???
You do not support an obvious fraud!!!! When you support a fraud, you are equally complicit in it.

buh we thought TOM was your "hate man" since you (and a few others) seem to awlays hate on him for keeping folks up to date on what's going on, informing folks of what's wrong and why (sometimes maybe just his opinion but mostly based on facts and laws), and because he always stands up against the fakers and frauds. you're known to covertly support the fakes and frauds for your own agendas only to abandon the fakes and frauds when their fraudulent activities become widely known.

are you really the 'hate man' or is more like hippocrit? and don't bother answering, it's always with a rhetorical question.

    Re: TNNAC mtg yesterday

    tom
today's TNNAC board mtg was about the Confederation consolidating their power.

    main items:

    1. the "6 chiefs" are continuing their advocacy within state government, now moving into accountability of federal monies given to the state for Native Americans: "all 6 tribes have applied for discretionary grants from HHS" (Health & Human Services, U.S. Department of); state Adult and Family Services Contracts, state Community Services Grant Programs, TN Department of Human Services.

    2. did not know: Native Cultural Circle of Clarksville donates annually approximately $1000 worth of books on Cherokee culture to 23 local elementary schools from powwow profits.

    3. Scott Sanders of Chattanooga removed for absenteeism (missed 4 meetings).
6 board positions vacant. Joe Manycoats sick. former commissioners Charles Lawson and Christine Goddard to be invited in.
others - no names given - not interested in joining based on certain current membership [kunesh].

    4. ltr to ACTIA saying TNNAC severs all ties with ACTIA
offers no response to previous ACTIA request for explanation of invalidation of Memphis august 2009 caucus.

    5. new officers: Billy Joe Nuckles (East TN/Kingsport), chair; Harold Robinette Sr (East TN/Kingsport), vice chair; Cliff Caudle (Memphis), secretary

    6. approved absentee voting post facto for motions requiring 2/3 vote. board members absent at time of regular meeting vote can now cast their vote within 3 business days after the meeting.

    7. Investigating Committee report - TNNAC's business is now promoting recognition of state tribes, kunesh to be tried for removal from TNNAC board on opposing state tribal recognition of the 6 culture clubs & requesting hearing on repeal of TCIA rule 0785-1 & accusing TNNAC of election fraud on tncia.org website & against certain tribes, calling them "heritage groups", "culture clubs" - is working against TNNAC.

Apparently the "6 tribes" have taken over the TNNAC, apparently, they will also not brook dissent and therefore, Tom must go.

Hopefully, those in charge of distributing the money for Natives in Tennessee have enough sense to realize that the dollars are not meant for groups that have no recognition of any kind.

Also noticed they made it easier for their ilk to cast supporting votes for whatever is on their agenda.

It looks like TNNAC will be the next Indian-centric organization to die in Tennessee. These groups have no morals. I have seen it before--once the greed takes over and infiltrates deeper and deeper, it continues until everything people worked years for is destroyed forever. They are nothing more than sharks in the water, ever patrolling for the scent of money--they go after it with a vengeance--they may get a little, but in the end, they totally destroy that which they seek. Destroy not only for themselves--but for the people it was intended for.

    Re: TNNAC mtg yesterday

So true and you know, that is a shame. Still, what boggles the mind is the fact that despite at least two of these "tribes" have been widely exposed as completely fake and the TNNAC act like no one knows it or cares.
Also, are there not at least two TNNAC chairs occupied by Natives that are recognized outside this state? What do they hope to gain by assisting fake tribes to get recognition? Don't they have any morals? Do they not have any gonads?
It may be time for all of us opposed to begin a "letter to the editor" campaign across the state and build enough public opposition to kill this effort once and for all.

    Re: TNNAC mtg yesterday

The letter to the editor campaign might not be a bad idea, except that few people read them anymore. I'm thinking another round of e-mails to the Tennessee senators and representatives might do more good--especially when they find out the TNNAC is trying to circumvent state authority.
