    Re: For those in need?

Anyone have any info. about helping those in need within our Indian community. 18 days before xmas and I've not seen anyting.

prolly there are those who've been helping within their local community without saying anything about it.

And then again, it depends on who's being asked. According to some, the only "indians" in the State were born and raised here .... so that tells me that the CONFed group should already be taking care of their own since they always seem to have the means for funding other "important" events.

    Re: For those in need?

Glad you asked. I and Di are assisting a needy family this Christmas. A family of 4. Oldest girl 6 and youngest girl 1 1/2 years. With the help of some good neighbors up and down the street where we live plus other friends we will make thier cristmas a little brighter. Plus we have a couple of area business that are assisting with donations. This family is struggling money wise. They have a roof over thier heads,a dependable car, good on clothes. So we are going to load them up with food items to free up what little cash income they to have to be able to spend on essential. This is our first year sponsoring a family. So far so good. Makes ya feel good.

    BTW Jimmy

If you would like to take up donations at work if possible. Or with family and friends I know it would be greatly appreciated. No junk food or perishables. If you can help let me know. This has to be done in the next week or so. Holler at me and let me know. I'll meet you half way to pick em up. Buy you lunch also.

    Re: BTW Jimmy

Don't have much here myself, but know there are others in worse shape. What about Sunday? I haven't been to the bend in a long while. Be glad to help as much as I can. I'll call ya in a couple of days. How's the car coming?

    Re: BTW Jimmy

You'd be suprised how many helpful, generous people are out there. All you have to do is asked mostly. Like I said anything will be appreciated. Got Di's car all back together. Be awhile before I can get it painted. Just holler at me.
