Weekly allowance

From 1961-65 anyway, we were given a weekly whopping allowance of .40 cents. Was that amount lower or higher in earlier and later years? And we weren't supposed to bring any coins from home either.

Our allowance was 30 cents a week during the four years I was at St. Anthony's.
