I am having problems creating an account on the new forums. Every time I try I get "The confirmation code you entered was incorrect". I do not see a confirmation code, or anywhere to enter it even if I did see one.
I get the same result with IE6 and Firefox 1.5 (both tested on Windows XP and Windows 2003). Adding the site to IE6's Trusted sites makes no difference. Neither does using https instead of http. (It also fails using links, a text mode browser on linux.)
Examining the html source reveals a hidden field with a system generated confirmation code. This (plus the fact that the last account was created four days ago) leads me to assume that server side authentication was changed (adding a new module?), and account creation was broken at that point.
