Flaming Moe's Sports

No prelude. Just the facts.

Tuesday Darts

A short-handed Flaming Moe's squad headed to On the Rocks in a meaningless season finale and walked away with a 5-5 draw. This is their second straight LSDL Championship and second straight undefeated season. Kudos to everyone who helped the champions, this year: Ben,Pisuth,Johan,Simon and last minute replacements Steve and Steve. Well done, boys. You did us proud.

Which leads us, inevitably, to The Moe Syzlak Experience. A home win against the Moonshine Dons and we get promoted to Division I where we can square off against the big boys. What happened? Erm...it wasn't even close, as we suffered our worst loss ever, a dreadful 8-2 drubbing. Looks like we'll be eating at the kiddie table again next year. These things happen. Still, congrats must go out to all the Syzlak's for a winning and (more importantly) fun-filled season. So, a tip of the old chapeau to Johnny, Ray, Lonnie, Jayke, Dono, Johnny B. and Cory for all of their fine efforts.

Wednesday Pool:

We headed up to Larry's Dive and put the proverbial wood to 'em. A big 6-2 win which leaves us tied for first place. This time, we didn't even need our superstar, Ae, to win her final leg. But the kid did it anyway, leaving her with a stellar 12-2 overall match record. Let's keep it rolling fellas. And hope that my drunken verbal baiting of Paul from co-leaders Det 5 doesn't fire up the other first place team. Oh, yeah, and a warm welcome to our newest team member, Madcap Matt. Given that he won his first match without even a rudimentary understanding of the rules, I think he should fit in well.

Thursday Darts:

The Bully Cobras came, they saw...Moe's conquered. A big 12-7 (I think) win propels us back into first place(I think) in the ultra-competitive TDA League. The late night halve-it game which followed may well have left Domino's Suzuki unable to play darts next week, as well. Unless, that is, his alcohol tolerance level is up to the Moe standard. A good fun night out and an outstanding result...who could ask for more?

Well kids, setting aside the Syzlak setback, another great week in Flaming Moe's sports. See you next week, same baht time, same baht station.
