Hotel for Heroes Project

I would just like to make you aware of a new project that has recently come to my attention.

The Bridge for Heroes aims to provide effective service and support to British military veterans, serving personnel, their families and widows, through respite holiday breaks and notable events.

The Bridge for Heroes is a Social Enterprise Limited Company which will be initially grant funded but self-supporting after the first year. During the initial phase of the project it is anticipated that The Bridge Hotel, a two hundred year old, currently derelict hotel in Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire, will be secured, to provide the base upon which an innovative hotel for UK military veterans and their families can be created. Not only will The Bridge for Heroes save and preserve a historic building, it will create around 70 jobs for the local area, provide a number of facilities currently not available in the town including a cinema, gym with sauna etc but will first and foremost serve the UK's veterans, offering holidays and activities to them and their families.

Mike Taylor, a Gulf War veteran who lives in Sutton Bridge, is spearheading the project and is currently fund-raising to secure the purchase of the building. He has been overwhelmed by the offers of help he has already received and the number of volunteers who have come forward to assist him.

THE BRIDGE FOR HEROES URGENTLY NEEDS TO RAISE THE FUNDS TO SECURE THE HOTEL BUILDING. EVEN A SMALL DONATION WILL HELP! GIVE SOMETHING BACK TO THE GENERATIONS OF OPERATIONAL SERVICE PERSONNEL WHO HAVE SERVED THEIR COUNTRY IN THE PAST AND WILL BE ABLE TO BENEFIT FROM THIS PROJECT.
