what a problem this is proving to be - so far I have made two visits to the Post Office and made one phone call plus filled in a form. Now I have to wait for a letter giving me account details, then a pin number, another trip to the post office and then two more phone calls to register my account with the benifits in question. I thought I'd try to do my bit for the post office and knew it would be easier just to use an existing bank account, but I never realised it would entail all this messing about. Our post offices are doomed, how many older pensioners will go to all this trouble.
