Missing banjo resonator

In 1978, Eddy Adcock sold his Fender 5-string banjo to George Gruhn Guitars. It had his old Epiphone resonator on it....the one with two bands of fancy woodwork...just look at any of the early Country Gentleman albums and you will see it. The resonator is extra deep. They did not keep records of who purchased what until the next year. Eddy has his old Epiphone back now, and it would be great to reunite it with the correct resonator. Anyone out there have a Fender with the outrageously wood trimmed resonator?
Or maybe you bought a Fender banjo and took the resonator off and stuck it in the corner...If you have any leads, please give me a call at 301-229-3482
Thanks.....Reed Martin reedbanjo@comcast.net
