Musician murdered -- Instruments stolen, June 2009 -- Sacramento (guitars, mandolin, banjo)

Sacramento police hope some unique musical instruments lead them to a killer.

Sacramento police hope finding Keith Fessler's unique instruments will lead them to his killer.

Keith Fessler, 44, was found dead inside his Meadowview home last month.

Fessler lived at the Carella Drive house for 15 years and was an avid musician, police said. Several distinctive string instruments were taken from the house, including:

* Gibson Les Paul guitar, serial No. 31602
* Gibson Acoustic guitar, serial No. 91412043
* Jackson Guitar, serial No. 6717
* Carvin Custom guitar, no serial number
* Takamine Santa Fe guitar, serial No. 93121043
* Deering banjo, serial No. 4041
* Flatiron mandolin, serial No. 93071686
* Mitchell MD-100 guitar, serial No. 302018
