Human Rights and Middle East

The current issues across the Middle east shows how fragile human rights situation is and how far governmnets supported by outside powers could go. mass suffering is spreading which pushes for human rights defenders to take more robust and effective techniques

Re: Human Rights and Middle East

I think the democratic process in the Arab countries will be a long one, similary to the long process ocurred to achieve democracy in western countries.
Don't forget the French revolution, 2 world wars, the american civil war, etc... how much suffering, how many millions of death and how many generations to achieve democracy in the western countries ?
The same for the Middle East, i think with the globalization the process might be shorter but anyway it might take the whole century with ups and downs.
