T'was A Few Months Before The Season


T'was a few months before Aiken, and all across the south
the BASA website was jumpin', many running their mouth.
The Groundwork has been laid for an outstanding '06 season.
Some players are jumping ship, while others commit treason.

The kids were full and are now comfortably in bed.
While visions of the Hot Girls Slide Show dances in Dad's head.
And Mamma in her boy-shorts, prepare for her nap.
Dreaming of JT, Cory, and Wolf doing dances of lap.

When on the Message board there arose such a post.
A Cry for the '06 Dime Time, Who gets your Vote?
The All-Dime team from '05 has now to be revised.
Nik G. gets my vote, that should come as no surprise.

The Hot Girls and Lady Playmakers have stated their claims
As the finest teams in the land, Are they for real or insane?
Ladies In Action, the Supersonics what does the '06 have in store?
The Lady Headhunters and lady Brokers, Need I say more.

Just make the calendar happen BASA, and we'll handle the rest.
One for each room of the house and one for my desk.
Don't forget the life-sized cutouts to place next to the dresser.
and how bout some Dime-Flavored Toothpaste, or Dime Air Fresheners.

The Champions are all relaxed, basking in the glow.
As the wannabees run their traps, as they did the year before.
DJ and Godfather's won competitive, thanks to Big Swole & J.B.
Team BBQ won Super-Rec behind the leadership of Pistol Pete.

Team Dynasty won the Men's Rec Championship, what more can they say.
The Ladies of Louisville won the Women's Rec, team ball they did play.
Ga. Mixx won Women's Competitive and shook up the world.
Many cried "illegal Bats" but much props to my girls.

The WOLF's been on the prowl, going from town to town.
Receiving love from the ladies, from the fellas getting clowned.
His moves were subtle, yet surgically performed with tact.
He hand-picked a team, to be known as Class Act.

To not be out done, Atlanta Storm had to make moves.
With the additions of Daniels and Donaldson, they too have improved.
With Smallz leading by example, they'll now be stronger than ever.
With unretired Owen providing guidance, I predict stormy weather.

The South Georgia Magic has made key additions
Winning a champion while looking good is Trick's new mission.
Graystone and the Mavericks continue with their exploits.
Claiming the road to a championship, goes thru Detroit.

As December ends and the New Year arrives.
Let's all thank God, for adding more precious days to our lives.
Let's place the hate on the shelf for at least a couple of weeks.
Sharing the true meaning of this season with those that we meet.

Lets not forget "1-9" and Kenny, their lives were the cost.
Their kids, their parents and friends now must live with their loss.
When that day comes your rings and batting averages won't matter.
Only how you lived you life on Earth, leads to a life after.

As I walk away from my computer, I finish with delight.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Good-Night.
