We all want to feel good and being called usually makes us feel important. But what is a call from God and who receives it? Being called to the ministry has given people a special status but being called to ministry is more important. Ministry is a life of service while the ministry is a functional role to support those in ministry. All of us are called to ministry, serving, and helpfulness. For two-universe Christians there is a summoning, usually internal, to respond to the program and plan of the second universe with Jesus at the center. For one-universe Christians there is a summoning from a world full of need and from the accumulated ideas surrounding the value of helping with Jesus at the center. Serving as God calls us means saying yes to this opportunity we all have each day to be of service to others and to live out the way of Jesus.
