Another Experience

Greetings Brothers and Sisters!
It is good to see the new postings since I last checked several weeks ago. Now I have an experience to share. Several weeks ago, late one afternoon, I experienced an uneasy feeling. Since I have learned to trust my hunches, I wondered what was wrong. It was a beautiful spring day and the sun was shining. Then I heard a terrible noise , turned around and saw a nasty looking cloud front and a huge tornado touch down in a field about a mile from my town. It was heading toward town. Immediately, I began praying for the storm to dissipate. Witnesses to the storm said when it reached the river in front of the town, it turned and followed the river a ways, then began to split up and retreat to the sky. Within minutes it was over. My town was spared. Unfortuneatly, 10 miles further on, the storm came together again in one big funnel and touched down in the little town of Utica, IL., causing much destruction and killing 8 people. I feel saddened, that maybe if I had kept praying , instead of stopping after the danger had passed, that the residents of Utica might have been spared.

Re: Another Experience

Gary,

As Mystics we do wonder about such events. I think you should have started a life of perpetual prayer to dissipate all tornados for the remainder of your life. Seriously, we are co-creators with the Cosmic, so through visualization and prayer we can do such things. We probably cannot go beyond our immediate area, but disipating a tornado could possibly be done. Personally I will have to wait for a few more incarnations before I will be "ready" to do such things, but I will keep trying, like you did.

Similar to your thought, I can rembember putting an ill person on the prayer list and when they were well, removing them from the list as recovered. A day later they went through transition. I also wondered why I did not keep them on the list a little longer. I guess such will happen and are beyond our control. All we can do is the best we can.

Re: Re: Another Experience

I remember in the rosicrucian teachings, it states that sometime, somewhere, you will be called upon to do something in an emergency, and to let your innerself be your guide. That is what I did during the storm. Seeing the potential destruction coming, I had to try, and had no idea if it would work or not. I am also a rational mystic, so as I was praying, I sought shelter also. That is why I did not know what happened until I talked to others who stayed out and watched the storm. I certainly would not recommend that someone should stand in the path of a storm and challenge it. They may find themselves levitated much faster and further than they would wish and have an early transition.
Probably the best thing a person can do is practice of daily attunement exercises, so they can instantly attune with God, if an emergency arises.
love to all,
Gary
