Re: Re: The Deeper Wound written by Deepak Chopra

What a bunch of nonsense. There is one reason and one reason only for the events of nine-eleven and that is the inability of certain groups of people - notably Arab Islamic types - to accept responsiblity for their actions. Said problem is now being compounded by their denial of what they did.

This is exactly what gave religion a bad name and why the U.S.A. eschewed morality for civility. Don't ever forget it is not prayers and fasting that builds bridges. We only do the humble to appeal to the baser. When it is our turn to lead we have nobody else to blame if we mis-use power.

And I think rather a lot of people have much to learn about power. I sincerely hope they do their homework before hand ......

I feel that the answer lies somewhere between these viewpoints.

Indeed, on the one hand, America has been digging a hole of bad karma allowing its government to protect and advocate the abusive activities of US-based companies in countries around the world. Ever since the 80s, the prevailing policy has been to give business a free hand, while telling anyone who objects that bigger corporate profits are the only way that greater prosperity can be brought to the masses. Rosicrucian teachings are adamant about the need to GIVE if you ever expect to receive anything. Having said this, it should be pointed out that ALL corporations around the world have fallen into this way of thinking for many years now, not just American companies.

On the other hand, the people engaged in using religion (in this case radical Islamists)as a justification for hating and destroying, are wracking up a fierce load of karma for anyone who supports them. They must take responsibility for what they do, and they will pay the price. That's just the way the world works, right?

The way out is to support those people who want to build and engage in constructive work, not to engage in combat with those who want to destroy.

I have in me lifetime seen a lot of dreams die. That goes with the cycles. You want to believe and help. If it doesnt work it must be somebodies fault.

We of all people should be aware of laws. If we tout an allegiance to the unseen that how much more should we defer to the tangible? Of course "the only laws we break are the ones we make" and that is precisely why laws should not be written in stone. Still I find it not a little amusing that things get so out of control. That is why I don't support terrorist actions at all. If the system is that bad it will decay and fall within.

I dont appreciate every little injustice in the world riding on the coat tails of the nine-eleven event any more then I think that event gives us a blank check to do a world house cleaning.
