I never got to meet my Grandpa, but from the little I know about him I have idolized him and his service all my life.
As Im sure many people are trying to find all the info they can on their family, I would like to ask if you have any information on my Grandpa and perhaps confirmation of his service with 30 sqn or links to perhaps a different sqn. He was RCAF but I believe served with RAF when he went oversee's to Burma in WW2. I do know he was involved in an escort of Lord Louis Mountbatten.

- has what looks like Africa star (hard to read)

- flew mainly hurricanes but at some point he flew a spitfire apparently.
Any info on Rank, logs, missions, really anything would make me very happy.
