WELCOME
Welcome to the new Etchingham message board. This is experimental at present, to find out what users think. If you have used the old Forum at www.rural.co.uk/forums you will probably have noticed a drop off in use recently, not just on the Etchingham Forum, but on all the villages hosted on the site. This is mainly due the site admin no longer allowing guest postings on the Forum, it is now necessary to register a user name and password to be able to post a message, or respond to a message. Added to this, recently people have found it almost impossible to register, and it has become increasingly difficult to contact the site Admin. I am trying this service out, it is a free version, so is limited in storage space and is supported by advertising. It may well be that users will not like the pop-up adverts, which is why at present this is just a trial. If you are happy to use this new Forum, please post your messages and comments. Colin

Well, it has been five months now since I set this board up as a trial, so far 30 views, but not any posts. I deliberately did not post anything other than a welcome message, just to see what happened. I will leave this board running for a few more months to see what happens, if no interest in that time I will remove this trial and just keep the original forum, however, that has not had any activity in the last few months. So, maybe users are not really interested in having a discussion forum. OVER TO YOU!!! Colin
