Awful woman
I have to share this with you.... On a Tuesday I meet my friend to walk down to Holy Trinity at collecting time, and as she has a double buggy, the previous manager of Spencers kindly allowed us to park there as it is safer to walk from there than through the pound. Bear in mind the pub is closed at this time. Well, we didn't know there was a new person there and when we got out the cars on Tuesday this horrid rude confrontational woman dashed out and demanded who we were and what we wanted. We tried to explain and she rudely told us that it was not a public car park and refused to let us use the car park for 15 mins. Obviously she was within her rights to do so, but really, we could have been coming to book a large party or something....she was rude before she even knew what we wanted. Had we been prospective customers she'd have lost out. The previous manager was very nice but this new woman was one of the rudest ghastly old battleaxes I have ever encounteres. Had we known there was a new person, of course we would have asked her permission first but we did not know this. I used to go to Spencers a lot for food, but I'd never recommend it to anyone now. The hideous battleaxe doesn't deserve the business. |

She may have been upset that you may have been responsible for the hideous pedestrian crossing and lights being built outside her front door!! |

Spencers now have a man and wife team of temporary managers. My understanding is that they have been put in by the owners Green King whilst they decide what next to do with the pub. |
