I have been watching Darren's site for several years now The disintegration of our beloved ship is happening at an alarming rate. Soon it will be too late to save anything that is left of her not already salvaged. Is there any current effort by any group or organization to remove and install the forward mast of this icon ? If not is there any interested parties willing to get something going ? I was thinking Kings Point Academy, West Point Academy or Mariners Museum Newport News, VA would be great places to approach for an installation. Any input ? I have clicked the notify me box for replies. Donations could be collected through PayPal and Ebay as well as websites willing to join in on this undertaking. |
