1965 from Melb to Eng
Hi All. Have been reading all the messages since Sept last year.Still nobody from the ships maiden voyage has come online as yet.I would like to here from anyone who was on the ship.When we went to Sydney the Opera house was still being built.It seems so long ago now.I would like to say hello to eveyone out there. I was 15 at this time,it was so much fun. I will never forget this beautiful ship. See you all. |

Hello Maureen, I well remember the opera house, what a construction, as the Australis, bless her, berthed right next to it. My Mum and Dad and I were on her first voyage out to Aus. and New Zealand after refitting, the latter our destination. Did you join in Melbourne? She was magic.I pity people who have not travelled thus. |
