I served on the australis from end of voyage one thru to end of voyage five, I beleive, as assistant entertainment officer and then as entertainment officer with peter colville ray sauvola |

To Paul Bishop. Do you have any photo's of your 1965 voyage? I don't have any at all. I was fifteen at the time of this voyage.The memory is all good I had a fantastic time on the ship, from Melbourne to Southampton was one the greatest times of my life. Maybe you might have some of myself with the entertiament as I was picked out of the passengers. Had a ball. If you could find out for me thankyou very much.I wish you and all the people that have been on this beautiful ship a HAPPY NEW YEAR. from Maureen QLD

Hi, we whent back to holland with this schip S. S. Australis at the year 1966 and we came in rotterdam at oktober 1966.(about 18 oktober 1966) Pleas let me no? I was a shopkeeper on the Australis from voyage 2 to voy 8. Did Australian runs and a series of cruises out of Sydney over Christmas and New Year of 1965. Then a couple of Migrant runs to Australia and New Zealand and in the summer of 1966 (when the Football World cup was on) we did a series of 2 week cruises out of Southampton arround the Med. in 1967 i joined the Queen Frederika for some 14 months and then returned to the Australis in 1968. Unfortunately the majority of the pictures I took were 35mm slides and time has not been good to them. If this is of help there are quite a few stories I have about the early days of the Chandrid RHMS Australis. Chris Eldridge
