We have a very pleasant green which has been kept fairly tidy in all of the years i have lived here.
Recently though there has been a build up of non resident children - some up to at least fifteen years of age - who are becoming a nuisance with football and rugby games on the grass surface.
These children are also climbing trees, breaking off branches and leaving debris on the ground when they have finished.
i believe that the green is for younger children to play where they can be seen by their parents as a safety measure - not for bigger children who can play on designated ares in the village.
The police were called on the 29th and dispersed them shortly afterwards - but should they have to do this.
There is also a build up of vehicles which are parking on the grass with sometimes ugly resluts when it has been wet.
Can we have no parking/no ball game signs as a pre requisit to a peaceful existe?nce |
