If you know which take-away it is, why not ring them up and ask them why they feel they are exempt from the speed limit? Or let's name and shame them on the web!
Seriously, the current anti-speeding TV campaign stresses "it's 30 for a reason" (website: http://www.thinkroadsafety.gov.uk/campaigns/slowdown/slowdown.htm - follow the web link above), which is something we could all remember as we enter or exit the village.
Many drivers should also remember that the 30 limit on North Street applies from/to the 30 sign, and not from/to somewhere near Roman Way...or Mill Road...or Norman Drive! The Police are occasionally (too occasionally!) located with a speed camera at Mill Road... |
