The Parish Council continues to look at the viability of CCTV. However, recent changes in policing structure will give us a more visible police presence in the village and we are waiting to see the effects of this before making any decision. We appreciate that the cost is high, that is why we are taking a great deal of care over the matter.
With regard to ASBOs etc, the Council has absolutely no powers to implement these, they are matters solely for the Police. We do discuss the problems we have with the police but it is up to them what action to take. I'm sorry that you think we are living in the clouds, I suggest you come to a Parish Council meeting to see just how firmly our feet are planted in reality.
