we do not need cctv, not only is it a massive waste of public money (which is already in short supply) the upkeep and servicing costs alone make this non-effective for a village of stiltons size. i do understand the problems in the village though and i firmly beleive the answer is to go back to some "old school" policing, why has ASBO's not been applied for the offenders?, why has the areas of concern in the village not been subject to a ban on groups of people after a certain time?. this has all been effective in other areas of the country so why not in our village. I also think its about time the Parish Council took a firm grip of the situation and stop living in the clouds |
