Just wanted to wish everyone at SAHA a Happy New Year! I hope everyone's horses are in good health. I also hope everyone fared through this storm OK - those high winds have done an incredible amount of damage. I have experienced my share of downed trees and power outages in the past few days, I hope everyone's homes, and horses made it though alright. The wind was something fierce. I work over by the Redding Airport, and we saw 82mph gusts, causing several very tall/old trees to fall over like toothpicks. On my way into work (0630) on Friday there was a pretty big tree down across Airport Road - crazy. KRCR's weather team kept preaching that it would be bad, but it was quite a bit worse then I was expecting - lesson learned.
