Message:   Our Abate of Michigan Region was doing a May is Motorcycle Awareness Month gig at a local Maple Syrup Festival a couple weekends ago. We had 50 nice two sided yard signs made up and for sale for 10 bucks each. We had a canopy and big banners and we had bikes in the parade and it was all about Motorcycle Awareness. Some Bozo came walking by and my wife asked if he would like to buy a May is Motorcycle Awareness Month sign. He said I would except for this, and he pointed at the Abate logo in the corner of the sign. Peggy said, "Oh, you don't like Abate?" Man, the dude went of like a roman candle. "I'm an EMT", and "Have you ever had to scrape up a brain off the highway" and "I would never support any organization who is against helmets"..etc... He was so wrapped up into his "perception" of what we are about that he was literally emotionally incapable of comprehending the dichotomy of his opinion and what we had going on here with our Motorcycle Awareness campaign. Kind of like Jim up above, some folks cannot see the forest for being obsessed with a tree.
