Bruce, I agree with what you are saying, as a BOD member of an MRO, we
constantly get criticised for not focusing on just the helmet law
restriction in our state. In reality, the function of the MRO in almost any
state has morphed into a combination of safety, education and legislative
activity. I personally do not see this as being a bad thing, but some
people think that doing anything besides working against the mandatory
helmet law is counterproductive. We can no longer be single issue
organizations. All of our programs are designed to benefit motorcyclists
rights and the motorcyling lifestlye. Please visit our website at
