Message:		Hmmmm interesting. Unusual increase in pedestrian deaths. Of course the weren't wearing helmets and I suppose that would be the knee jerk band aid response to curbing those fatalities. "Witnesses told senators there are several possible ways to reduce crashes -- stricter drunken driving rules, tougher seat belt laws, motorcycle helmet mandates and truck regulations." What truck regulations? Again the same old song and dance. Address the consequences and not the cause. Driver distraction? Cell phones? Lack of driver training? Penalties not stiff enough? Hellooooooo.........are we the only ones listening. rc
