Message:   Another attempt to reduce the human race to cattle. I am not to sure though that, psychologically, people are yet ready to jump on this and may in fact resist it strongly (at least in America). Just as our MC's provide us with a sense of freedom, for many, their autos do the same. After all I don't fly cause they won't let me in the cockpit (which is a good thing).

I can't see the public buying into it unless there is some sort of over ride that allows them to take control and then that defeats the purpose. I will repeat a large part of the population feels about their cages as we feel about our autos. In areas that have perfectly capable public transportation systems the roadways remain congested and dangerous.

That being said I have no doubt that despite public objection the government if given the opportunity, will seek ways to integrate this sort of techology a little at a time until we have it before we know it. Or just mandate it.

I can't site the particular show but Tucker Carlson of MSNBC during the big fuss over Big Bens accident stated that he rides a motorcycle and does not support helmet laws (even though he wears one). He went on to state his belief that it is the governments goal to outlaw motorcycles eventually.

Having said all that, BMW's experiments with gyroscopic technology may present a stock buying opportunity should all of this come to fruition.

Then again there will always be the back roads and maybe a new frontier carved out well intelligent design by government (an oxymoron) will not exist.

Shades of "Thunderdome".....rc
