Eric,
I am well aware of the highly-publicized incidents of "illegal aliens without insurance" hitting motorcyclists in Arizona, Oklahoma, Tennessee and elsewhere. These incidents are deplorable ... but they are only INCIDENTS.
In other words, I have been unable to find ANY reliable data suggesting that "illegal aliens without insurance" are a statistically significant threat to American motorcyclists. I have also challenged members of the "fringe" groups to supply verifiable statistics to support their outrageous claims, and to date not a single one has responded with anything other than Iowa Congressman Steve King's ridiculous distortions, which have been publicly discounted and repudiated.
In short, unless and until you can prove that "illegal aliens without insurance" is a statistically significant threat to American motorcyclists, the focus of bikers' rights advocates needs to be on the threats that are. That applies especially to MROs ... including the MRF, and the agendas of its board members in their meetings with legislators!
