P38 external temp guage

The external temperature gauge reads 0 degres when I start up and blows hot air into the cab, even on warm days. After about 5 miles it wakes up and gives an acurate reading, then blowing cold air. When you start the warm engine it reads 26 degres and then drops to an acurate figure. Is this normal or does it have a fualt.

"Is this normal or does it have a fault"

It has a fault, that IS normal!!

Mine did this, a few checks (at a non franchised specialist) and a new HVAC unit was diagnosed.
Fitted at the next service and no issues with that problem since.
