tax exempt
Hi I was just wondering if anybody knows if my 1973 Range Rover tax exempt. It was registered on the 9/1/1973 and obviously this was made before this date, so how do I go about finding out if this is tax exempt. I know that I can go through British Motor Heritage, but I just needed to find out as quick as possible if it is tax exempt. Any help is appreciated |

Hi Ian Try looking at this, you will need proof that it was built before 1/1/73. DVLA web site http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/TaxationClasses/DG_4022042 scroll down to old vehicles Cheers Rob |

Hi if my memory serves me correctly (i had an early 3 litre capri) the cut of point is 31-12-1972.They will however stretch that to the 07-01-1973.After that it is still available free if you can produce documentation to back up it was manufactured earlier.Hope this helps,Gareth
